Red Simpson performed at Carnegie Hall and
was well know for his recording of "Hello I'm a Truck" (which reached #4 on the billboard charts), and many other hits.
He wrote over 40 hit songs that were covered by Buck Owens and Merle Haggard. Red also sang and played guitar on Buck and Merle's hit songs as he does in this album.
